Self Power

Power of one's self is the ultimate goal in this life, I believe.

What is the reason for this?

If we don't self impower oursleves how can we empower or give power to others so they can take control of their lives?

Where do we find the ability to be powerful or empowered?

The reason I feel empowered most of the time is because I know who I am. I know why I am here and where I am going. I also am empowered by others who have similar philosophies or goals. I am empowered by those who already have what I want to achieve because I know it can be done. They did it... why can't I?

This is where some self searching goes on...find out whats holding you back from ontaining what you want and the cast it out or get rid of it. Why let it hold you down? Are you punishing yourself? Are you worth the fight to have the desires of your heart? Questions are a good thing and yes the answers can surprise you and scare you. Sometimes both at the same time.

That's okay!

If we empower others we first have ro give ourselves that power first. How do we do this? Very simple! Believe that you already have it and you will find it. Not only will you find it, you will have it. You will be able to see it and achieve it. That's a guarantee if you strive for the empowerment others have. Hopefully, this is a good empowerment and is a righteous decision that helps guide, lead, and help others along with yourself.

So, where in the world do we fiind these people who influence us to be empowered? Why around us of course! If you want to know about what's going on in the world, where do you go? Some sort of news resource. If you want to know about health you either turn to a natural way or a medical way. Let's say you want to heal a sore throat?  Your mom always used lemon, water and honey or gargling with salt water, right? Well, othera turn to a pill or spray, or antibiotic etcetera from a medical pharmacy.

If you are truly wanting to find different sources of help for different things there is listings on the internet for easy access. For me, i have gone to groups finding mentors or helps of aome sort. When I was learning to sew, I asked a semstess to help me make a dress. When I wanted to learn to knit, crochet or any other talent I found someone to help me. When I was done being taught, even after the first lesson I felt empowered.

If you want something, empower yourself by finding the answer to how you can empower yourself. It's worth it! It can be a belief system, attribute, talent, ability, tangible objects, goals or a number of more things.

Empowerment is self control and such a beautiful thing! And most of all give gratitude for the things you are empowered with and share them!

Smell the potential

Good Day Everyone!

It is such a beautiful day here in Florida. Palatka is a small town with great potential. I love being smelled...Funny thought huh? Well I love this because they always say, "What perfume are you wearing? You smell really good!"

Do you know what I tell them? I use essential oils and this is a blend I made up for myself. That answer will get them asking more questions.
  • Like what oils are you using in your blend?
  • What brand do you use?
  • Do they have any other benefit to just smelling good?
  • Where can I find them?
These are awesome questions about sharing these amazing oils to benefit others. There are many opportunities to building the business.

I have gone through some struggles of late building my team in DoTerra but I know there are amazing things going to happen. I love the business and I am so grateful for the people I do have on my team. I am focusing more on this now that things have been able to simmer down.

We can always improve and should improve on all the things that we do in life. There are so many factors that stop us, but have we ever thought of the many factors that build and expand us. We are marvelous creatures who have numerous potential and ability to do everything.

So today lets think and be grateful for the many factors that build us. We are guided by something or someone. What is your Why?

Mine is to not worry about health, finances, and my friends and families future.

What would you do with your why? Let's say you have achieved your WHY. What would you do with it? Write all of the things you would do with it down so that when, NOT if, you achieve it there will already be a list to achieve your goals, aspirations, and dreams. Plus, this will give you a constant reminder of things you need to do to achieve this.

Let's achieve our dreams without thinking we can't or wont. Life is good, even when your bogged down with the silliness of life.

Have a marvelous day!

Thumb shred

What can I say but its been a wonderful and amazing experience witnessing these beautiful DoTerra Essential Oils healing my shredded thumb in just a matter of weeks. It is absolutely a miracle to have this testimony! I also know it is something I need to share. Now that my thumb is almost healed and the injury is a few days shy of being 3 weeks, I am telling my story!
It began on any other Friday evening where I was preparing dinner for my hubby, who was on his way home from delivering Viva produce to our customers (who are awesome). I have been on this kick with raw vegan pasta and my is amazing! I was shredding carrots with a regular hand held shredder when all of a sudden my thumb felt really strange. It was immediate that my brain recognized what happened. As I covered my thumb with a towel and started to apply pressure, I knew it wasn't that bad...so I looked!
Oh my goodness!!!!! Holy whipper snappers! I shredded my thumb nail completely off! The blood was gushing from the wound. It really didn't hurt yet. I applied pressure and kept calm. I did really well until I realized I needed help stopping the blood. It was flowing too quickly for me to stop it without using Helicrysum which I was out of. I called Darius to tell him to rush home that I had hurt myself really bad. Then I called Natalie my friend and mentor especially with the oils. She kept me on the line as she called Geniel, who I had noticed was at Natasha and Colten's house just a few blocks away when I was on my walk with my daddy and Angie. Geniel, Natasha and Colten had Helicrysum and Geniel drove over...So Thankful for her being in the neighborhood!
We applied the Hylicrysum and within a few drops it stopped! So grateful for this amazing oil! It should be in every firstaid kit and in every home. This is a must to have in your oil arsenal. After stopping the blood we were able to apply different oils for healing. I will write all of these oils in a list and the reason why. I used several and because of these I had no pain and healed in record time!
I was then able to have Geranium and Lavender put on it and those are amazing painkillers! I used seven to eight oils that helps control blood, pain, progress in the healing process. It was absolutely phenomenal on what happened within 12 hours my nail looked amazing! It didn't look as bad or is scary as i had thought it would. I had no pain throughout the whole time.
It took a total of 3 months for the nail to grow out. I kept it bandaged for 4 weeks at the beginning because I kept banging it on things. I had no pain so I did things like normal. I am so grateful for that. I have been having some amazing experiences but by far this was my top experience on using the oils for healing and watching it before my eyes.
As you can see with these photos...

This last picture of the thumb is about 4 weeks old. We used several oils for this healing. At the end I was using mostly DDR and Lavender. At the beginning I used a lot of oils every 20 minutes I was putting something on. Here is the list of oils I was using.

Addiction

There are several different kinds of art heights of addiction and we all handle them differently. It is in our nature to battle something and sometimes it is ourselves. That is what addictions are. It is an inner battle concerning a weakness we may have. All addictions are serious especially for the individual dealing with them.
Now I think you know when someone is joking, but for me personally,  I have learned there is truth in what we say. For instance, we know women mostly say they are "addicted to chocolate" while that is often reacted to by laughing and giggles. This is a true statement. Chocolate had caffeine which is a stimulant. Who doesn't like a stimulant when they want to feel better or need to wake up. This is why some of us male or female cannot have chocolate.  The same with sweets or other foods.
Which brings me to an important point FOOD. I love food! I have an eating disorder and  it is a big issue with me. I love food. Even though I am a raw chef and I make crazy good food it is difficult for me not to gorge myself on my yummies. I am addicted to my food. I have grown up loving food. Comfort foods to be exact!
Not a lot of people know or think that Food addictions are real or a real battle for people.  Well I am here to tell you it is. It started when I wanted comfort in my early childhood because of being in special ed classes, parents divorce, lack of friends,  disappointment, sister almost being kidnapped, homelessness. These are just a few things that occurred in my choldhood. So yeah food it was an escape from reality because if you don't know food has a chemical sedation and those are the items I loved...meat, breads and pastas and let's not forget sugary sweets.
When I went raw vegan during my husband's cancer healing process, I was able to look at those and see the addictions I had developed through childhood. Oh how I wished that I had done things differently back them,  but as I looked at family and friends...it occurred to me they were a slave to it too. They didnt know any better either.
"Knowing is half the battle" as I have been told a dozen or so times. My question is once you know what do you do then?  Do you ignore it and hope it gets better or goes away? Well I have found a way that works really well especially when I use it. Which reminds me I need to get in that routine again. This is why I write in here, because it gets me thinking and when we think we start doing.
Anyways we needing to drink half our weight in ounces. So if I weighed 200 pounds then I need to drink DAILY 100 ounces of water. Then on top of that add Slim & Sassy into your routine. Exercise too! Go for a walk. Go to a market, mall or any place where you can stroll and walk. Life is good!
Addictions are hard but not impossible.  They can be overcome. It's not going to be done in the snap of your fingers but over time it will be less of a temptation.
In our Modern Essential's book is a whole section concerning addictions.  Looked it up! Know it. It's amazing to he things that you will notice and when some one says or does something that triggers you into action. YOU will know how the EOs will be able to help them.

Any part of our lives that follow these forms of addiction are an addiction. This is a way we can start to eliminating addictions that are harmful to our physical and spiritual well-being. Let us all take note of these addictions in our lives and seek out help when needed.

Tuesday Night Call...Notes

Welcome Everyone! I am so excited to share with you my thoughts and feelings about tonight’s topic: Moving into a new me….

I bought this little Girl’s night journal at a thrift store a few months ago. I love journals. I probably write about 6 journals a year and that is not 6 entries. That is front to back, all pages filled cover to cover 6 journals. I love looking at journals. Anyways, as I was looking through this today I stopped because it was interesting how they broke down a Girl’s Night entry. They gave specific topics to write about. One of those topics was “Getting Ready” underneath this heading is a definition, “Makeup and hair do’s and don’ts”. I loved it! Make a list of do’s and don’ts...who would do that? Well it occurred to me we do.

I thought to myself how perfect that is for tonight's topic. I have been feeling as the majority of you might be feeling the overwhelming fear of not having enough money. I have been pondering this for the last two weeks. Not that I don’t have enough, but how it is playing a factor in my life.

Let me explain…

Richard Carlson wrote the book Don’t worry, Make money. In this book he said something that really hit home for me and I have been trying to take it to heart. He said, “Until you eliminate worry and fear, it is very difficult to implement any strategy for success.” Let me say that again. “Until you eliminate worry and fear, it is very difficult to implement any strategy for success.”

He went onto say, “Money is ‘circulation.’ it needs to flow. When you are frightened, selfish, or when you hoard everything for yourself, you literally stop the circulation. you create ‘clogged pipes,’ making it difficult to keep money flowing back in your direction. Any success you have is despite your lack of giving, not because of it. the way to get the flow going again is to start giving, Be generous. Pay others well, tip your waitress that extra dollar. Support several charities. Give back. Watch what happens! Things will start popping up out of nowhere.”

Our thoughts and actions have everything to do with who we are, where we are going and who we become. How amazing is this?

You might have had this question asked to you or you might have asked it yourself. “Do you think it’s too late for me? (To do whatever it is).” The answer I read in 7 habits of highly effective people is, “It’s only too late if you don’t start!”

“I’d like to double my income in the next year.” Ever hear that or said it. I know I have had “if only’s” in my life. When you hear someone say that do you watch their actions to see what they are doing to achieve that. Are you watching yourself?

Do you hide from the mirror of self evaluation or do you look at it head on and see the improving possibilities before you?

Do we make excuses on why we have not achieved those goals we set for ourselves?

Do we make goals?

If you haven’t made a goal then do it. Give yourself a reward if you achieve it! Spoil yourself you deserve it!

These last two weeks i have really been thinking about how much I have personally grown and my team. I have been in Doterra for 7 months now. I have a team of over 20 people. I am now receiving checks every week. I am so excited for the growth. When I started Doterra I got stuck in a negative rut from people around me. I did not understand what was happening or how to get out of it. We all were here in Florida. Sometime within a months time we found out about these mentor calls. These calls  were a blessing and overwhelming need flood this area and I would think it was the same for others.

This morning, Tamalu asked us to think about whether or not we wanted to continue these calls when the ninety days are up.

I knew my answer and I had already spoken to Natalie about this subject numerous times. We know without a shadow of a doubt that it is because of these calls that we are building strong, sturdy teams. We are growing leaps and bounds and their is no limit for what we are seeing for our teams. We hope everyone has this goal. The limit is endless.

These call are a lifeline to support, guidance and an abundant directory of amazing individuals in Doterra.

We need each other! We are successful because of all of these factors. Live, think, and feel abundant in the Doterra family, we all belong here.

Thank you so much for joining us tonight! Any thoughts or questions!

Eating healthy!

Eating Healthy has become a chore!!!

We are heard eat healthy from doctors, family, friends and their concerns are valid. Today's food is loaded with so many preservatives, poisons, and destructive means to demolish our bodies in numerous ways. When you get down to where diseases come from or are developed it is from what we eat. This is one of the reasons why I became a raw vegan.

I have shared my story when Darius, my amazing hubby was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Cancer is scary when we don't know what we are dealing with. A good friend of mine told me once that diagnosis are for the benefit for the doctors and medical field. This allows them to practice/ treat where they are comfortable, because this is what they know. I am not saying this is a bad thing, but on the same token each person is different and needs to be treated differently. One diagnosis is not necessarily the same symptoms of someone else's same diagnosis.

I wanted to share some thoughts with you on how we can look at different things that come our way with food. I will be listing a recipe or to that is raw so you can try them yourself. I love working with raw foods. I no longer need to worry about cross contamination. We also buy organic or clean grown food so that we can hopefully minimize the impact of poisons and toxins.

Our bodies are subject to toxins all of the time. This can happen through the environment, food, and emotions. I found this picture and really thought is was important for me to share, considering that some if not all of us who read this blog are health conscious and using essential oils in their lives.

We need to be aware of what we are absorbing into our skin. I have for years had a sensitivity to SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) and SLES (Sodium Laureth Sulfates). This is in your hair products and so many more. My head would itch and I would develop dandruff really bad. The itching would be so bad I would develop scabs from the scratching. I knew I had a reaction and since going raw vegan I have had some interesting issues pop up with the things I cannot use because my body will not allow me to.

I wanted to bring this to your attention, because we need to protect our bodies. I believe my body is a temple of God. I know He gave it to us to protect us, not to destroy us. We need to make wise choices on what we come in contact with.

Refine and substitute sugars, white flour, sodas, etc are harmful for our bodies because they do nothing for our body except tare it down, destroy or mutate our cells in our bodies.

We want and need to protect our cells. They do so much, are responsible for so much and are working so hard for us to survive.

RECIPES:

Sweet Cream
1 Cup Cashews (soaked and blended)
1/4 Cup Honey
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
2 drops of Wild Orange essential oil

This can be placed over any fruit you want. This is amazingly awesome stuff!

Serenity Grapefruit Juice
1 QT of freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
1 or 2 drops of Serenity essential oil

I love this juice. It is so refreshing and it is a marvelous way to get oils into your system.

Also, I would be very remiss if I did not tell you about Cilantro essential oil is a great detox for heavy metals. I love all my oils. DDR is for Damaged DNA Repair. These oils are absolutely amazing and can benefit us in so many ways.

Let's not forget about emotional toxins. They are dangerous more than anything else. I say this because when we are around negative influences, believe and live in negativity we weaken our immunity. Take depression, this is a deadly mental illness. It kills people daily. How sad is that? Why not use essential oils or eat better to help process these feelings. When we eliminate the unnecessary products from our system we can be real with our emotions. We have nicknamed these as Raw Emotions. They are feelings coming from deep with in and are sometimes hard to deal with. These issues can be resolved with work and loving yourself. Try the Serenity Grapefruit juice! Serenity is amazing and I have spoken on this before.

These are just a few essential thoughts for you chew on! Have a beautiful day!!!
