Are you a penguin or a peacock?

Are you a peacock or a penguin? Let me tell you why I am asking this question. I just finished a short, sweet and profound book called "A peacock in the Land of Penguins" by BJ Gallagher and Warren H. Schmidt.
This book is awesome. I learned I am a peacock that was living in a world of penguins. I am a woman of talent, creativity, and so much more who tried to change for the world around me. I don't need to change I need to be true to myself and allow people to be true to themselves.

We are not responsible for changing people that is their jobs. We can help them developed their talents, creative ideals and strive towards goals they may have.

I want all of us to succeed in whatever goal we mast have. If its building a business, working, raising a family, improving ourselves, or anything else we need to support one another and not demolish each other with put downs, sarcasm, and other hurtful things.

In this book there were several different birds allowed to come to the land of penguins. They were excited to do so and the penguins just kn.we that these select birds had the adaptability to be penguins.

As time went on they had to learn the penguin way: walking, talking and dressing..."It's the penguin way!" As these different birds tried to be penguins, they became more unhappier and unhappier. They were losing themselves and they never quiet fit in.

After a short amount of time the different birds were pushed out by all the penguins saying they were not right for the corporation of penguins. They were exiled by the penguins.

The different birds including the peacock left for a land of opportunity. Here they were nourished, encouraged and left to do what their instincts, creativity, and talents desired for them to do. Here they excelled and were a vital part of the society. They felt wanted, loved, and rewarded for their contribution to their corporation (community).

"The Land of Opportunity is where we live and work when we choose to see with new eyes, live from our hearts, and allow ourselves and others to be what we truly are OURSELVES."

This is how I want to be. This is what I desire for my family, friends and people around the world. We all need to feel as if we age contributing to the world around us to feel the value we have.

We are all valuable! We are all creative! We all have talents developed or underdeveloped. We need to recognize the positive value and goodness in people instead of the negative ones.

Let us be peacocks, hawks, eagles and so on instead of trying to be a penguin that never changes and only wants what they want everyone to be.

Just put it out there and see ????

 I have an interesting topic for today! It is not a secret that I am doing some self improving. I am excited to witness the new me everyday. I am in love with myself and therefore proud of myself. I have been thinking more clearly, more specifically on WIG (wildly important goals).

We all have them. When we were a kid and someone asked us what we wanted to be when we grew up? Our answers were maybe a doctor, fireman, cop, teacher, or a baker. It could have been more than one of these or a different answer all together. The point is did we here "Go for it honey! You can be anything you want to be!" or was it "Well, you need to make sure you have good grades." or "You're not smart enough, pretty enough, strong enough".
When looking at these two choices in answers concerning negative or positive attraction, you will see how as adults we might not have achieved our WIG because we encountered to many negative reactions. The worst part if this the dream died and we felt like failures.
Remember, not to have too many WIG. Three is plenty. You don't want to overload and get overwhelmed. When you want a dessert pie you don't starry with the whole pie you start with a slice and work your way up to the whole pie.
I for one am tired of thinking of myself as a failure. I am amazing, wonderful, joyful, courageous and and a lovely daughter of God! I am a creative, outspoken, talented woman with a lot to offer. There is nothing that will stop me from my WIG.
Now let's just put it out there and see???
~~~~~We want to open a Healing House in CC for those who need help healing or need a break. Who want to detox from the world.
~~~~~We want to enjoy the experience of having biological children. Angie is so excited for this to happen.
~~~~~We want to build doterra into every aspect of our lives. Sharing this glorious experiences of health and healing with everyone.
I know because I am putting this out there that I will be given opportunities to accomplish these things. I will see these things happen.
Focus
Focus...what is focus? Focus is the center of an interest or activity. That is so simple! What are some of the things I am focusing on in my life?
Health
Business Expansion
Personal Growth
I have three at this point in my life.
I am striving for better health for my body and my family. I have a goal of releasing weight by releasing toxic fat. How amazing is that...releasing toxic fat! We need some good fat in our body for cushion, energy and protection.
I also have a focus on expanding our business VIVA LA VERDE with my family. My husband I have some amazing ideas. We want to build it to become a Healing House. Where people can come to relax learn about raw food and create a new them. This is exciting and wonderful!
My third and not last is personal growth. This is so important for all of as individuals no matter what our status in life might be. We need to be growing personally. We need to become better people and share that knowledge with others so we can duplicate our selves. It is like Pay It Forward. We want to share, guide, and direct them to share, guide and so forth. We need to have a focus.
How?
Well I have been listening to so many of these beautiful conference calls we have in Doterra every day. They are amazing! If you have a desire to learn listen to these calls. This is how...
These calls will not be recorded so be sure to be there live! The new number is 1-530-881-1212, and the meeting ID code is 180-406-344. It will be great to hear your voice when you check in! (these are Mountain times)
I also read a lot of self learning books and I have some favorites. I have been reading the Secret Series and they are amazing! I am grateful for the simplification of the Law of Attraction that they discuss. I am grateful for authors like John C. Maxwell, Tony Robbins, Stephen R. Covey, and so many more. We need to improve ourselves so we can help others. We cannot forget about ourselves. If someone needs a band-aid for a cut, you have to know what a band-aid is first. I know that is a weird analogy, but for me it works. I have to be able to explain something or be able to find someone who does. This is different than being a know-it-all. We can know something and be humble about it too. I am grateful for the knowledge I gain from the spirit when reading these books. I know my Heavenly Father will guide me to good books that have grate information and go along with the gospel.
We need to follow our line of desired vision to success. This is how we focus...keep the goals in mind and always have a desired vision clearly outlining the path you should take to achievement.
Fertility...A quest dear to my heart
My husband, Darius and I have been married for 10 years and we were diagnosed almost immediately with fertility issues. This is a subject dear to my heart. This is a very personal topic and I will try my best to share with you my struggles and triumphs I have been through during this process. This is not something we take lightly and people, who do have this don't. Every month when Aunt Flo, the Red River, et cetera would come for a visit, my heart would break knowing there was no cutie coming in 9 months. Anyways fertility did not work and we went through AI (Artificial Insemination). After giving myself shots, asking people to pray, we decided to adopt. When this happened we made arrangements and filled out the paperwork. We were waiting when Darius was discovered to have a Primary Brain Tumor. That story can be found here...
I was thankful not to have children at this time. Darius needed me and I need him. We had family all around us and we were scared. I didn't leave the hospital for a month and most of his family didn't either. This was one of the hardest points in our lives we had to go through. Looking back I am grateful and saw how wise it was for us to have fertility issues.
I am thankful for the support of medical technology, because we were able to find out why we were not getting pregnant.
I am grateful for family, who didn't judge and never said "why aren't you getting pregnant?"
I am grateful I am open about this subject and have spoken with so many people on the subject.
I am grateful to see the Lord's hand in my life.
It has been almost 6 years since the brain tumor drama and we are happy, healthy, and looking towards a very pregnant future. I am no longer disappointed or saddened by my period. I am grateful my body has the ability to renew its self every month. What a blessing that is. I know it might be weird thought and feeling for people to understand this thought process when you are struggling with getting pregnant. I have been there and I still am going through it.
I think if you have been reading my posts you are well aware I believe in the power of I AM statements. I will share with you the one I have for this. It creates calmness, gratitude and love for my body as it is, what it can do, and my Heavenly Father's role.
"I am grateful for my body and its desired ability to perfectly heal and conceive healthy children."
I painted a picture and have this stenciled on it. I look at it daily. I read it. I feel it. I know it. I know one day in the near future this will happen and it will be joyful. I know these oils can help our bodies to heal. I know the food we eat (Raw Vegan) are all part of helping our body have the proper tools to heal. How amazing is it to know your body rejuvenates itself often? It is fabulous!
Be positive, desire it, and do all that you can to accomplish this goal. I love the message I got by text one day on this subject from a close and good friend. She said, "Just because your not pregnant doesn't meat you are not fertile and alive!" This is true! I know it. I feel more alive today in my fertility brain than I did 6 years or more years ago. We are fertile! We are receiving and seeing abundance around us. We will have children and the Lord knows the perfect time for that! How beautiful to look at it from a different perspective and feel joy!
Anger
What is anger? A strong feeling of displeasure and belligerence aroused  by a wrong.
Why do we have anger? In order to know joy we unfortunately have to know anger. This is not.an excuse to experience it all the time. I have found in my own life that the more anger is used as a tool it becomes a habit.
A tool you ask? Well I have seen where some people will challenge an accusation or situation to defend themselves right of wrong. Another way is when there is a correction and the correctee pitches a fit or rages in anger because it will distract the corrector from their ultimate purpose. Anger is a tool, just like joy and happiness are a tool.
For instance, I have a beautiful almost 12-year-old daughter, who does not want to be corrected. She will throw a tantrum or lie. She will do anything to keep from hearing correction. She uses her anger tool as a distraction, so she won't be corrected on the offense whatever minor or major it could be. For her she would rather get in trouble for something else than the main thing. It is amazing to watch and so sad to go through. This has limited her growth in major areas such as emotional and spiritual development. It breaks my heart that she was not taught at a younger age the benefits of be corrected or its okay to make a mistake and fixing it.
I think the more people that react to anger or with anger are doing a disservice to themselves. I am guilty of this and I have been working on this for years too. This is why I recognize it. I am also going to talk about anger transference, at least this is what I call it. Anger transference according to Alicia is when someone gets angry and hits the wall or other objects. I have witnessed this and it is great when there is no pain like screaming into a pillow the frustrations of the day, but if we do this and then there is no talking about.it afterwards because we are "good", then we are wrong! We always need to talk things out. Anger is an addictive poison. Where does it go from here.
I remember when I was about my daughters age, I was angry at my sister for.something stupid. I was eating spaghetti in a green glass bowl. This bowl was beautiful! I was really angry. I hurled this bowl full of spaghetti across the room near my sister and it shattered against the wall and carpet into a million pieces. I was shocked at what I had done! I thought for a split second that it would be better to do that then hit my sister. Well yes it was better, but it didn't solve anything. I caused three issues to deal with instead of only dealing with the one, my sister. I had to clean up the extreme mess I just made, talk to my mom about the bowl, and deal with the anger concerning my sister. So, I talked about everything while I was cleaning and then I told my mom the events of the day. I got grounded and now I think I got off easy. The reason I bring this up is that if we don't talk about what's bothering us or fueling our anger before a flare up than chances are someone's getting hurt. We don't want that.
How can we react better without anger? Lets see what oils help with calming and coping? I have been using them for my anger and trying to help my daughter, being a adopted a few years ago was hurtful for her and because she is emotionally younger than her actual age do to the things she went through. Serenity, Elevation, ylang ylang, and my favorite Balance are my go to oils. Serenity more than the others, but for my daughter its elevation. We all need to find our special oil or blends of oil for issues on anger or other negative reactions. I also do breathing, deep. Breathing is your best friend. When breathing techniques are mixed with your favorite calming oil its wonderful and amazing to see the view.
